First-time PGA TOUR champion Richy Werenski claimed the trophy at the 2020 Barracuda Championship. On his 100th PGA start he finished with a +39 (+6/+11/+9/+13.) Werenski turned professional after graduating from Georgia Tech in 2014 and in early 2015, Werenski won the Golf Channel’s reality show Big Break The Palm Beaches, FL.Werenski is the fifth consecutive winner of the Barracuda Championship to earn their first TOUR victory at the Modified Stableford format event.

Putnam won his first PGA TOUR level event at the 2018 Barracuda Championship; a highly anticipated accomplishment after recording 6 Top-Ten finishes on the PGA TOUR over the course of his career. He played college golf at Pepperdine University where he was a three-time All-American. Born on January 25, 1989, in Tacoma, Washington, Putnam and his older brother Michael were the first brothers to simultaneously play on the PGA TOUR since the Pappas brothers in 2004.

After 290 starts on the PGA TOUR, Stroud got his first win at the 2017 Barracuda Championship, beating out Greg Owen and Richy Werenski in an exciting two-hole playoff. It was a long time coming, considering Stroud has collected 29 Top-Ten finishes on the PGA TOUR throughout his career. Leading up to his career, Stroud played college golf at Lamar University in Texas and was a two time All-American. He is heavily involved in various philanthropic efforts. After Hurricane Harvey devasted his hometown, Stroud organized a Pro-Am to raise money for the those affected by the hurricane. Altogether, Stroud’s Pro-Am raised over $1.2 million in relief funds for the hurricane victims.

Chalmers earned his first PGA TOUR level win at the 2016 Barracuda Championship after 18-years and 386 PGA TOUR starts – one of the longest waits in PGA TOUR history. Throughout his career, Chalmers has split time successfully playing on both the PGA TOUR and the European Tour. The Sydney native is a four-time Australian Open champion on the Australasian Tour. In 2012, Chalmers founded MAXimum Changes, a non-profit that supports children who have been diagnosed with autism. The foundation is named after his son Max who was diagnosed with autism in 2005.

Joining the PGA TOUR in 2001, Ogilvy has claimed eight PGA TOUR wins, 57 Top-Ten finishes and was runner-up on nine occasions. He is a one-time Major winner, taking home the 2006 U.S. Open trophy over runner-up Phil Mickelson. In addition, Ogilvy is a three-time Presidents Cup selection (2007, 2009, & 2011) and a three-time World Golf Championships winner (2006, 2008, & 2009). He reached a career-high World Golf Rankings of 5th in 2006. In 2014, he won the Barracuda Championship, his first win in over four years. Ogilvy is known for being a personable and charitable professional as Golf Digest ranked him number seven on their list of “The Top 30 Nice Guys of the PGA TOUR”. He also founded the Ogilvy Family Foundation which benefits organizations and hospitals dedicated to children. 

Woodland attended Washburn University on a basketball scholarship before transferring to the University of Kansas to play golf his sophomore year. He is the winner of three PGA TOUR tournaments including the 2013 Barracuda Championship and the 2019 US Open. Over his career, he has recorded 33 Top-Ten finishes. Woodland uses a 1984 silver half-dollar as his ball marker, a gift from his mother that corresponds with his birth year. A multisport athlete, Piercy won two high-school Nevada state championships in soccer before playing college golf at San Diego State. He has won four PGA TOUR tournaments including the 2011 Barracuda Championship. Throughout his career he has amassed 33 Top-Ten finishes, four third place finishes, and three runner-up finishes – one of which came at the 2016 U.S. Open. Piercy commonly draws a smiley face to mark his golf balls, reminding him to have fun while doing what he loves. Piercy was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 6, 1978.

Rollins has three PGA TOUR wins under his belt, including his 2009 winning-campaign at the Barracuda Championship, as well as 43 Top-Ten finishes over the course of his time as a professional golfer. His career took off in college playing golf at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned an honorable mention All-American award. In his spare time, Rollins loves to play billiards and is an avid guitar collector. He claims his most prized guitar is one signed by the legend Dave Matthews himself. John Rollins was born in Richmond, Virginia, on June 25, 1975.

McLachlin won at the Barracuda Championship in 2008 and has recorded six Top-Ten finishes to go with two runner-up finishes during his career. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on May 10, 1979, into a family of athletes, it should come as no surprise that he eventually found himself in professional sports. His father played basketball and volleyball for Stanford, his mother was captain of the 1976 U.S.A. Olympic volleyball team, and his brother was an outside hitter and captain for the Stanford Men’s Volleyball team. McLachlin was also a phenomenal volleyball player. He played college golf at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated with a degree in sociology in 2002. 

Flesch was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 23, 1967. He played college golf at the University of Kentucky before turning professional in 1990. Flesch was originally a right-handed golfer before switching over to his more natural left-handed swing. While playing on the PGA TOUR, Flesch claimed four victories including the 2007 Barracuda Championship and amassed an astounding 63 Top-Ten finishes. He was also awarded the PGA TOUR’s Rookie of the Year award in 1998. Currently, Flesch plays on the PGA TOUR Champions Tour on which he won the 2018 Mitsubishi Electric Classic and has claimed an additional five Top-Ten finishes. 

Taylor received his PGA TOUR card in 2004 and won back-to-back Barracuda Championships in 2004 and 2005. His next PGA TOUR victory came eleven years later in 2016 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. During his time on the PGA TOUR, he has amassed 34 Top-Ten finishes, three third-place finishes, and three runner-up finishes. Taylor’s career in golf began when he played college golf at Augusta State University where he was an honorable mention All-American in his senior campaign. 

Triplett can often identified during play by his trademark bucket hat. One of Reno’s own, Triplett played golf on scholarship at the University of Nevada, Reno. During his time on the PGA TOUR, he won three events, including the 2003 Barracuda Championship, was a runner-up on five different occasions, and claimed 67 Top-Ten finishes. Triplett was also a valuable member of the winning 2000 U.S. Presidents Cup team, amassing three points and halved in singles. He currently plays on the PGA TOUR Champions League where he has added six more wins to his lengthy resume and recorded an additional 54 Top-Ten finishes. A huge advocate for adoption, Triplett works to promote both the Fore Adoption Foundation and the Dave Thomas Foundation. 

Riley is a San Diego native who played college golf at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he was the first athlete in NCAA history to be an All-American selection all four years. Additionally, Riley led the UNLV Rebels to a runner-up team finish at the 1996 NCAA Division-1 Men’s Golf Championships. His wife, Michelle, was also an All-American collegiate golfer at LSU who spent time playing on the LPGA. Riley won the Barracuda Championship in 2002, his only PGA TOUR victory. However, over the course of his career he enjoyed an impressive 33 Top-Ten finishes and was a member of the 2004 Ryder Cup team. Currently, Riley is the head coach for the University of San Diego Men’s Golf Team. 

Verplank is a Dallas, Texas native who found his momentum in golf at the University of Oklahoma where his team won the 1983 NCAA Division-1 Men’s Golf National Championships (individually tying for third) before claiming the NCAA Division-1 Men’s Golf individual title in 1986. He recorded five PGA TOUR wins throughout his career including his 2000 Barracuda Championship title – a tight playoff victory over Jean Van de Velde. He is a two-time member of both the Ryder Cup and the President’s Cup. Verplank has battled Type-1 Diabetes his entire career; he and his wife founded the Scott & Kim Verplank Foundation, a nonprofit that provides Type-1 diabetics the financial ability to go to college.
