As of 2024, our organization has donated over $5.5 million to charity.
The Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation is the non-profit organization that oversees the annual Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR event. Since our inception in 1999, we have had the honor of aiding numerous charities thanks to the ongoing support of the community. We thank the charity partners we work with, as well as the many sponsors, volunteers and additional supporters that have allowed us to continue to give back to deserving non-profits. The mission of the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation is to leverage the highest ideals of golf to inspire and transform our community and environment.
The Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization recognized under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Testimonials
High Fives Foundation
Thanks to the Barracuda Championship’s generous support, the High Fives Foundation has been able to create the Barracuda Hydro Therapy Room—an accessible recovery space helping adaptive athletes push their limits. Athletes like Jeff Andrews use this facility multiple times a week to manage inflammation and support their training after a life-changing injury. Their contributions directly fuel recovery, resilience, and the pursuit of personal goals!

Friends of the Truckee Library
The Friends of the Truckee Library are deeply grateful for the ongoing support of the Barracuda Championship.
This incredible partnership provides vital funding to help FOTL support the current Truckee Library while advancing our mission to build the new Truckee Regional Library.
Our volunteers have a fantastic time participating in the tournament, making it a fun and rewarding way to give back while highlighting the importance of a new library for our community.

Procter R. Hug High School boys and girls Tennis Teams
Your generous donation has provided many low-income, Title one students, the opportunity to have tennis racquets, tennis racquets restrung, and practice balls provided to them for games and practice. Without your generosity, this would not have been accessible to many of the students on our tennis team. We greatly appreciate all that you do for our team, for our school, and for the community! Thank you!
Sincerely,
HUG Hawks Tennis Team and Coach Pacheco
Max Damian YOC Caddie & PXG Club Winner
I want to thank Youth on Course for the amazing opportunity to caddy at the Barracuda Championship at Tahoe Mountain Club. Winning the PXG golf clubs has completely transformed my game and made an impact on my ability to succeed as a student athlete.

The Discovery Museum
The Discovery is extremely grateful for the support it has received from Barracuda Championship. Philanthropic support enables the museum to provide hands-on programs and exhibitions inspiring a love of science and lifelong learning in people of all ages and interests. Additionally, support from Barracuda helps fund the museum financial assistance program which helps keep the museum accessible to families, schools and organizations who can benefit from what The Discovery has to offer.

Reno Jr Cadets Program
Over the last several years the Barracuda Championship provided donations from The Jr Cadet program which has been used to provide training materials, Uniforms and other items need in the success of the program. The Reno Police Jr Cadet program would not be where it is today without the generosity from the Barracuda Championship. We look forward to continuing to work with the Barracuda Championship for years to come. – Officer Jared Woodward
