RENO, Nev. (June 6, 2016)– The Barracuda Championship is happy to announce The Discovery at Barracuda presented by Circus Circus Kids STEAM Zone, a brand-new 1,200 square-foot attraction just off the ninth fairway that will teach tournament goers all about the science of golf.

The Discovery STEAM Zone is free to attend for all tournament spectators from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 30 through Sunday, July 3. Visitors will be treated to interactive demonstrations, brainteasers, art projects, 3D printers and golf exhibits in The Discovery’s largest off-site event in the museum’s history.

Championed by the Rhode Island School of Design, STEAM aims to add the study of the arts and design to the pre-existing STEM system, which focuses on science, technology, engineering and math. Not only does STEAM aim to add the arts to the center of the STEM model, but also hopes to integrate art and design into all levels of education while influencing employers to hire more designers and artists in order to drive integration.
