Registration for the 2015 Barracuda Championship’s “Reno Open” is Now Open
Tournament May 11-13 Gives Amateurs a Chance to Play with the Pros
RENO, Nev. – The Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR event is reviving the Reno Open, scheduled for May 11-13 after a 70-year hiatus. The two-part tournament, now accepting player entries, offers professional and amateur golfers a chance to compete for an exemption into the 17th annual Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR event or a team for the Barracuda Championship Pro-Am. The first day of the Reno Open offers threesomes the chance to compete for a coveted team in the Barracuda Championship Pro-Am, Wednesday, August 5, 2015, a prize valued at $12,000 and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with the pros. The tournament has a $200 entry fee per person and out of town participants can upgrade their entrance fee to include a two-night stay at the Eldorado Resort Casino May 10-11 for $300.
The last two days of the Open, May 12-13, 2015, professional and amateur golfers are invited to compete for a cash purse and the chance to win an exemption into the Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR event to golf alongside renowned PGA TOUR professionals including the likes of John Daly and Geoff Ogilvy. Entry is $400 per person and includes breakfast and lunch on both days. Out of town participants have the option to upgrade to a two-night stay at the Eldorado during the event for $500.
