How do I purchase tickets to the Barracuda Championship?

Which is the best day to enjoy the Barracuda Championship?

We think that each day of the tournament has something special to offer! Competition begins on Thursday and continues on Friday, so if you have your heart set on seeing a particular golfer, these are the days you will want to be in attendance. There is a cut after play on Friday to include the lowest scoring 65 players and those tied at that score. Those golfers who make the cut will play on Saturday and Sunday of tournament week. Sunday is the exciting finish with a lively Closing Ceremony following the sink of the last putt. Thursday through Sunday of tournament week features world-class professional golf and on course amenities.

What is the public parking and shuttle procedure?

Parking is located at the Old Truckee Tahoe Lumber Co. Lumber Yard.

Shuttles run continuously to and from the parking lot to the golf course.

Are there shuttles to the Barracuda Championship?

The Barracuda Championship will run daily shuttles from the public parking lot from Thursday thru Sunday of tournament week. Directional signage will take you to the public parking lot.

The shuttle schedule is as follows:
Thursday 6:30am – 7:00pm
Friday 6:30am – 7:00pm
Saturday 7:30am – 7:00pm
Sunday 7:30am – 7:00pm

Can I take a ride-share to and from the tournament?

Yes, you are more than welcome to take Uber, Lyft or any other ride-share to and from the Barracuda Championship. The ride-share will then be instructed to drop you off and pick you up near the main entrance.

Do children need a ticket?

Children ages 15 and younger are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. Limit of four youngsters per adult, please.

What is a Modified Stableford?

The Modified Stableford is the Barracuda Championship’s unique scoring format. Instead of scoring in a stroke play format, players at the Barracuda Championship will receive points based on play with the highest points earner winning.

How can I find my favorite golfer?

Electronic scoreboards will be located throughout the course to assist you in finding your favorite golfer during tournament week. A list of tee times will also be available on a limited basis. Official tee times and pairings can be located on the homepage of our website. The Official Daily Pairings sheets also have a map to help you find restroom facilities and concession stands.

Can I bring in my own food and drink?

Unfortunately, no. A variety of delicious food and drink options are available to you throughout the course. Purses and other bags must be smaller than 6” x 6” x 6” and are screened upon arrival. Please keep all items larger than these dimensions and all food and beverage items in your vehicle or leave them at home. Because of security concerns, all backpacks, coolers, etc., will be kept at the admissions tent and returned upon your departure.

Can I bring in a camera or cell phone?

Still cameras with lenses smaller than 6 inches are permitted; no case (During Practice Rounds Only, no cameras are allowed during competition rounds).

  • Devices must be on silent at all times; flash may not be used.
  • Devices may be used to capture video, audio and photos (content) in all areas throughout tournament week.
  • Content may be used for personal purposes (e.g., personal social media); no commercial use.
  • No live streaming or real-time coverage (e.g., no shot-by-shot coverage).
  • Data use (e.g., texting) is permitted in all areas throughout tournament week.
  • Phone calls are allowed only in designated areas.
  • Please be respectful of play and do not interfere with players, caddies or media.
  • All posted signage and instructions from tournament staff must be observed.
  • Failure to comply with this policy may result in the revocation of your ticket.
What should I bring with me to the Barracuda Championship?

You should start by wearing weather-appropriate casual golf wear with comfortable walking shoes, preferably with flat soles to prevent injury due to uneven terrain. Be sure to bring a windbreaker, hat/visor, sunscreen, and sunglasses with you.

What shouldn’t I bring to the Barracuda Championship?

Please refrain from bringing firearms to the Barracuda Championship. Also, you should not plan on bringing in your own outside food or beverage and please do not bring in large bags (larger than 6 x 6 x 6). May I smoke while enjoying the Barracuda Championship?

Due to extreme fire danger and public health concerns, smoking is not permitted except within clearly marked designated smoking areas. Please be considerate with your cigarette butts and place them in the bins provided for your use.

When do tickets go on sale? 

Tickets for the 2024 Barracuda Championship go on sale April 16.

Can I purchase tickets on site? 

No. Tickets will not be sold on-site during the tournament.

How do I receive my tickets? 

All tickets will be digital. If you purchase a ticket, you will receive a confirmation email with your digital ticket.

Will there be a Will Call?

The tournament Will Call program has been eliminated as of 2021. All tickets and parking will be delivered digitally.

Where will parking be located? 

Parking is limited and is located in various lots around the course. All guests must have a parking pass in advance to park or should utilize ride share.

Can I purchase additional parking?   

Yes. Parking is $10 and must be purchased prior to getting to the parking lot. Due to limited capacity this year, please consider car pooling or using a ride share.

Can I ride share to the tournament? 

Yes. Ride share is encouraged as the most convenient way to attend the tournament.

What are the Health & Safety Protocols?

The health and safety of all our fans and partners is our top priority. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment, the following protocols will be put in place:

  • Masks are available upon request.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the course.
  • All hospitality venues will be thoroughly cleaned prior to tournament and after each day of play.
  • Tickets and pairings will be digital.
Will merch be available for purchase on site?

Yes. The merchandise will be sold within the Old Greenwood Pro Shop.  There will also be a satellite merchandise store located on the Driving Range.

Where is the course?

The 2021 Barracuda Championship tees off August 5th through 8th at our new course at Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood in Truckee, CA.

What is the Old Greenwood Course like? 

Situated on 600 acres of forest and meadowland surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course is the perfect setting for the Barracuda Championship. More information on the course can be found here.

Where do the proceeds from the Barracuda Championship go?

When are tee times?

Specific times will be announced Tuesday of tournament.

Approximately:

7 a.m. Thursday and Friday
8:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday
