EVEN MORE FUN TO BE HAD AT 2015 BARRACUDA CHAMPIONSHIP WITH NEW MIXOLOGY AT MONTRÊUX EVENT
Shuttle Service, Food, Drinks, Games at Local Bartenders Competition on 19th Hole
Reno, Nev. (July 28, 2015)— The 2015 Barracuda Championship introduces Mixology at Montrêux, a craft cocktail competition featuring five of Reno’s best bartenders shaking and stirring their signature libations on Saturday, August 8 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Coors Light 19th Hole benefiting the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum.
Mixology at Montrêux will bring some of the downtown Reno action to the greens at Montrêux Golf & Country Club. The event offers more than golf at the region’s only PGA TOUR event as guests are treated to exclusive cocktail tastings plus two drink tickets, a meal voucher to any of the vendors at the tournament, lawn games including corn hole, bucket pong and yard Yahtzee and live entertainment from DJ Grey Grey, dropping the perfect beats for some day drinking fun and games. Fans of the Barracuda Championship, or Renoites looking for a little change of scenery, can enjoy a shuttle service from downtown Reno to and from Montrêux Golf & Country Club with a complimentary beverage onboard and will be dropped off right at the Coors Light 19th Hole tent for the Mixology at Montrêux festivities.
Currently in the running to be chosen as the five finalists for the competition are Casey from Shea’s Tavern, Haley from Bighorn Bar & Grill, Jacquie from Shenanigans, Jennifer from Knucklehead’s Bar, Kaitlin from Silver Peak Grill & Taproom, Lexi from Great Basin, Rick from Silver Peak Restaurant & Brewery and Tyler from Silver Peak Grill & Taproom. Fans can vote for their favorite bartender to be selected as one of the five on the Barracuda Championship Facebook page here. The signature cocktail that receives the most drink tickets from guests will determine the “Barracuda Bartender of the Year” and winner of the $500 cash prize.
Tickets for Mixology at Montrêux are available for pre-sale at $45 or $50 the day-of and include admission the 2015 Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR event. Those who have already purchased a ticket for the tournament can partake in the Mixology at Montrêux fun for only $20. Partial proceeds from the event will benefit the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum.
