RENO, Nev. (June 18, 2019) ––The Barracuda Championship is quickly approaching and as the summer temps rise the shady hills of Montrêux Golf and Country Club sound better than ever.

The area’s only PGA TOUR event returns July 22–28 with a host of big names and plenty to do “outside of the ropes.”

Barracuda Championship is not just for serious golf fans. There’s an array of sights, sounds and activities for people looking to enjoy the summer weather with delicious food and drink as well as family-friendly activities.

Patriots’ Luncheon
Barracuda Championship pays special tribute to our nation’s troops during the 10th annual Patriots’ Luncheon held Tuesday, July 23. Attendees have the opportunity to experience a military base while hearing stories of incredible heroism and strength. This year’s luncheon will celebrate the retirement of Brigadier General William Burks, the Adjutant General for the State of Nevada, and his lifetime of service. Tables for the event can be purchased for $1,000 and include eight seats, with the ninth seat reserved for a local veteran. Individual tickets are available for $125. The First Tee Day presented by Scheels Supported by US Bank and Rowdy Bars
Children are invited to Montrêux to play with the pros on Tuesday, July 23. Young golf enthusiasts have the chance to improve their golf skills directly from their favorite PGA TOUR professionals. To sign up call 775-851-2332.

The Patio on the 18th Green presented by Reno-Tahoe
Every ticket into the Barracuda Championship grants spectators access to The Patio where they can enjoy tasty barbecue at The Great Clubhouse Cookout or a refreshing beverage from the Jim Beam Bar. Mark Estee, nationally recognized chef and owner of Liberty Food & Wine Exchange, chez louie, The Union, Overland Restaurant & Pub and managing partner of Campo Mammoth, will be the featured chef at the Great Clubhouse Cookout. Estee will also be revamping the onsite concessions at this year’s event. This year guests can expect a variety of wraps and grilled to order burgers and hot dogs, and the Great Clubhouse Cookout will see new additions like Dirty Fries with meat gravy, Pizza Box Nachos and BBQ classics like tri tip, pulled pork and ribs.

Barracuda Fan Zone on the 9th
Kick-back at the newest on-course addition, available to all ticket holders. The Barracuda Fan Zone is located on the 9th fairway and boasts incredible views and the Jose Cuervo Margarita Bar. The deck will have seating as well as lawn games and is home to expo row where fans can shop, explore and learn at different tents including The Discovery at Barracuda STEAM Zone.

The Discovery at Barracuda STEAM Zone presented by Circus Circus Supported by Brookfield School & Western Nevada Supply Company
Children and adults alike can experience The Discovery’s largest off-site activation – The Discovery STEAM Zone presented by Circus Circus. Located just off the 9th fairway on the all-new Fan Zone (across from The Patio), visitors can experience interactive learning and activities that teaches golf through science, art, engineering and mathematics.

Fairway Independent Mortgage Heroes Hangout
All military members (active duty, guard, reserve and veterans) and first responders (fire, EMT and police) are welcome to enjoy complimentary food and drinks at this exclusive viewing area overlooking the 9th green.

Experience the PGA TOUR Like a VIP
Watch the PGA TOUR Professionals close up with the amazing views at the Lexus Chalet on the 18th Green. Each ticket provides access to the luxurious VIP skybox with a fully hosted bar, culinary cuisine, and flat-screen TVs. Or join the party at Tito’s Terrace, presented by Tito’s Vodka. Experience great views of the action on the 9th green as well as flat screen TVs, a live DJ and bar games. Each ticket to the skybox includes two complimentary drinks within the Tito’s Terrace. 

The Concert on The Patio
Follow up the action after the final putt drops on Saturday, July 27 with live music from local band Jacked-Up. The show takes place on the Patio and is free to all tournament attendees.
