Discounted Tickets Now Available for Sale by Local Charity and School Organizations

RENO, Nev. (March 2, 2016) – The Barracuda Championship and the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation announce the return of Chip in for Charity, a fundraising program open to area non-profits, schools, teams, clubs and other affiliated organizations. Participants can now sell tickets to the 2016 Barracuda Championship June 27- July 3, 2016 for only $20—a 20 percent-off discount from the regular $25 price—and keep 100 percent of the profits to benefit their school or non-profit of choice.

Since its inception in 2010, the program has raised more than $75,000 for area schools and non-profits. What makes Chip in for Charity unique in comparison to other corporate fundraising initiatives is the participant’s ability to keep 100 percent of their sales to go directly to the school or organization.

“For five year’s we focused the fundraiser on area schools. This is the first year we are opening it up to clubs and non-profits in addition to schools,” said Chris Hoff, tournament director for the Barracuda Championship. “Chip in for Charity is one of the most important things we do here at the Barracuda Championship. It’s an outstanding program that helps our community in an incredibly impactful way.”

Whether it’s a middle school band trying to raise funds for an annual trip, an area animal rescue organization raising funds for food and vet costs or a community environmental group the Chip in for Charity program provides an easy solution for raising funds without worrying about the delivery of packages, reconciling orders or meeting minimum sales requirements. The fundraising program is open to schools and non-profits in Churchill, Douglas, Humboldt, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey and Washoe Counties in Nevada as well as Eldorado, Inyo and Nevada Counties in California.

Registration for Chip in for Charity is now open. For more information on the 18th Annual Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR event, and to register for Chip in for Charity visit
