PLENTY OF ACTION OFF THE LINKS AT 2016 BARRACUDA CHAMPIONSHIP

RENO, Nev. (June 15, 2016)—The 2016 Barracuda Championship is so much more than a golf tournament, with activities for spectators of all ages to enjoy, including the all-new Discovery at Barracuda Kids STEAM Zone, revamped Tito’s Terrace with bar games and live music and the Fields of Honor Million Dollar Shootout, among other returning amenities.

The Discovery at Barracuda Presented by Circus Circus Kids STEAM Zone is free to attend for all tournament spectators from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 30 through Sunday, July 3. Visitors will be treated to interactive demonstrations, brainteasers, art projects, 3D printers and golf exhibits in The Discovery’s largest off-site event in the museum’s history.

Tito’s Vodka presents a whole new way to experience the Barracuda Championship this year with Tito’s Terrace on the ninth fairway. The brand new VIP sky box features flat screen TVs for premium tournament coverage, a live DJ and a full bar complete with bar games.

In addition, the location allows for unparalleled views of the ninth fairway, one of the more challenging holes at Montrêux Golf and Country Club. Daily passes to Tito’s Terrace can be purchased for $50 and include access to the tournament grounds and two drink tickets. Ticket packages for Tito’s Terrace are available as well, starting at $475.

Tournament guests can get in on the action like never before with the Folds of Honor Million Dollar Shootout, July 1 through July 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spectators can stop by the first practice hole for a chance to win prizes. Participants will attempt to hit their ball closest to a hole 125 yards away. The top three shots closest to the pin from each day will be entered into the final Folds of Honor Million Dollar Shootout on Sunday, July 3, immediately following the Closing Ceremonies. Participants can purchase one shot attempt for $10 or three for $20.

The nine finalists will be challenged to aim for the hole 175 yards away, but this time on the 18th fairway with $1 million at stake. If a finalist hits a hole in one shot, they will win $1 million to be split evenly with the Folds of Honor, a non-profit that provides scholarships and financial assistance to the families of fallen military members.

Lake Tahoe acoustic duo Ike & Martin are set to perform a free show for all Barracuda Championship attendees at the Coors Light 19th Hole from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 2, right after the conclusion of Mixology at Montrêux.
